Rattle Bones

About

“Greetings from the rock n roll heart of Pgh, Penna”

Rattle Bones formed in the spring of 2024 when veteran musicians Gary Martin, Tom Hohn, and Eric Rodger joined forces.

Headquartered in the Millvale neighborhood of Pittsburgh PA, the band uses big riffs, moody undertones, thoughtful lyrics and tight rhythms to create a sound unique, yet instantly recognizable.

Meet the band:

Gary Martin – Lead Vocals & Guitars

Gary has performed and recorded with Los Angeles rockers The Claws since 2017, and has a long musical lineage in western PA as a former member of Science Fiction Idols and CosmoSonics.

Eric Rodger – Bass & Backup Vocals

Outside of Rattle Bones, Eric moonlights as guitarist in Pittsburgh rockers Royal Honey and is a mainstay in Pgh rock scene.

Tom Hohn – Drums & Backup Vocals

Tom “the beatbasher” has toured the world with Pittsburgh’s finest garage rock exports The Cynics, and currently keep it steady with Dead End Streets.

Rattle Bones debut LP “Silver Bullets” was almost entirely recorded at Pittsburgh’s Razorblade Recordings,  and mastered with multiple Grammy award winning Dave Collins Mastering from Pasadena CA.

The album contains ten tracks, comprised of rockers and ballads, dark-groovers and blues-stabbers.

The Rattle Bones’ sound draws its musical influence from many sources, including Tom Petty, Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Paul Westerberg, Mick & Keef, Ray Davies, Lennon-McCartney (& Harrison), and the list goes on & on.

While staying current with the latest & greatest developments in the music world is important, the band also prioritizes keeping itself fundamentally grounded in the traditions that made rock n roll an important blue collar art form and a legitimate cultural force.

Rattle Bones has performed locally and regionally, and plans to grow its fan base domestically, and eventually perform in the EU & the UK.

The band also has the music written to the follow-up to “Silver Bullets” and is in the pre-production phase, with plans for a 2026 release.
